To start with, she went to Howard University on a full scholarship. Yes, serious big ticket fraud.

She's moved on from there. Among other things, she's on record as saying some nasty racist things about white people, like how she wouldn't want to be around any Tea Party group because all the white people make her feel unsafe or something.

Might I make a few suggestions.

She represented herself as someone she is not, including posing with her "parents" that wasn't related to her.
She misrepresented her life story, claiming among other things to have been born in a teepee and hunting with bow and arrow in her young life.
She reportedly has made several allegations of hate crimes against her, and explotied those alleged incidents for personal and political gain.
And as Greg said, she got a full scholarship based on lies and fraud

Basically, she is a fraud in so many ways it's difficult to come up with something that is true about her.

I doubt anyone would have a problem if she had said "I'm a white girl from Montana, and I'm a member of NAACP and teach African American studies.
But does anyone really think that she would be in the position she is in today if she had been honest about who she was?

Honestly, I'm having a hard time being upset about this. If they are going to hand out scholarships (and jobs, or whatever) based on racism, then I'm a little happy that somebody dropped a turd in that particular punch bowl. If there is something that shows she misrepresented her actual experience or qualifications, then that would be another matter.

I'd be truly interested in knowing whether that was all part of the act, or if she eventually began to believe her own bullshit. Just for curiosity's sake... Overall I think it falls into the category of "comic relief" at this point.

Someone wanted to know who she hurt with her lies, well fraudulently claiming a free college education is a hurt. It's been a while and nobody may remember, but I have ranted with some vigor about race-based college scholarship money- it's bullshit. However, if someone is doing something bullshit with their money, it's still THEIR MONEY, and taking it from them under pretense of fraud, contrary to how they would have otherwise spent it, is stealing and when someone steals from you you have been injured.

Beyond the anger of a white girl passing as black to enjoy black privilege, she's also lied about her family background and about being on the receiving end of racist attacks by mail. Recently I've heard she got one of her (adopted black) siblings to lie about her parentage on her behalf.

But hey, that's fine. Enough liberal education, get years and years of "whitey screwed us over", and 'm not surprised to see self-hating white folks. And liberalism has told us for years "you can be whomever, whatever you want to be",so I'm not surprised we have so many folks who can't be happy with who they are.
