Elites used to be competent enough to educate their *own* children properly, no matter how badly they mal-educated the children of the masses to keep them useful and not a threat.

Looks like they've forgotten that.

There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

The upper class of NYC have been sending their children to these exclusive private schools for more than a century. I'd be willing to bet that this the third or fourth generation of the family to go there. The parents are pissed that the school is not doing what was expected of them.
HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat

Well yes. But this woke outbreak suggests that the quality of the rich kids private schools has been silently degrading for a long time.

As well, a lot of rich people in NYC send their kids to magnet schools. I went to Hunter for HS, and quite a few of my classmates were more than well off enough to go anywhere their parents wanted. And they chose Hunter.

Of course the magnet school route was also a way for kids who were not rich or upper class get a leg up to being recruited into that club. But de Blasio and those like him are determined to actively close that off, too. 'The NYC upper class is full, sorry go away.'
