Obama only up b y 2% in Washington

Post by Jered »

I heard that on Micheal Medved and was like "WTF?"
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Washington finds Barack Obama still ahead, but barely. It’s Obama 49%, McCain 47%. A month ago, Obama was up by twelve percentage points. Recent polls have shown McCain gains in Montana, New Mexico and North Dakota.
The wheels are coming off the bus.
The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

I heard an analyst, I forgot who now, after the DNC convention that said that Obama had probably all the support from voters that he was likely to get, those that wasn't going to vote for him by then most likely wouldn't change their minds. Whether he would win or not would depend on how much of his support he could keep until the election, he wasn't likely to gain many more votes.
Seems like maybe he was onto something.

I think that analyst I read was 1-2 weeks ago, sometime. I guess he just didn't take that much of a guess then. :)

Sometimes I wish more americans could actually read the local papers in the rest of the world, and see what information the world get about the US, and the election and candidates. Then when the MSM says who "the world" want as president, they would know what "the world" bases their answers on. I think that could *really* cause some interesting response among voters.
I've told a few of the stories I've seen in the papers here to some US friends, and they hardly believe it.
