Problem is, they are kinda right with some of the charges. For a non-profit, Wayne has been getting some "extra money" that he legally might not be able to claim.

But corrupt NY is ironic pushing it.

Maybe, although I've seen analysis suggesting his compensation package is in line with other large NP orgs.

The thing is, if she had anything, she would indict him. Doing it this way suggests that she has nothing and is grandstanding or she is incompetent (or both of course).

Targeting Lapierre is probably counterproductive from their perspective since the end result is likely to be a stronger NRA. Also criminal charges against him as an individual requires a higher standard of proof compared to a civil case against the organization.

This is concerning. LaPierre and the leaders at NRA have made a hash of things and there needs to be some house deep cleaning for sure. Better the NRA should clean it's own house instead of having it imposed on them from the Left by courts.

That's if we on the right don't make them irrelevant in the meantime by abandoning them. We on the right tend to get all puritanical about our allies and shoot them -- nevermind the cost to the cause. This is why we can't have nice things. We eat our own.

But for all the problems we have with the NRA, there's a reason they are under attack from the left.
The NRA is still the only activist org anywhere in our camp that has any chops in the legislative arena. Yeah, I know there's a lot of heartburn about history of various bills and compromises but the fact remains that's the only RKBA group with any Legislative chops whatsoever.

A fair point, but leaving LaPierre in place isn't an acceptable outcome either. That's why the Senate is full of people like Lindsay Graham, Ben Sasse, and Slick Willard Romney. The question is how to bring about the internal house-cleaning blackeagle mentioned.

The way the NRA's board of directors/elections/bylaws are set up, it is very difficult to do that (by design).

Concur. As I said, deep housecleaning is called for. Starting from the top.

The fish rots from the head down.
