A bad deal all around. They need to prosecute the cops in question, but none of that justifies the riot crap (and it just makes anyone on the fence figure F'em they deserve it.)

Of course, this is just another case of big left wing cities are poorly run, and poorly run cities have lots of pathologies including bad cops and rioting.

Just with Feurgeson, I would understand the rioting if they burned down the police station. They choose the Target instead.

Oh, and current Senator, and then county attorney, Amy Klobucher, declined to prosecute bunches of cops accused of misconduct and excessive use of force. Including the one who killed Mr. Floyd.

Was there enough evidence to prosecute? I don't know. But not a good look there, either.

And as a current cop, I'll say this about what I saw in the video: I was taught, in the academy and after, you don't mess around with the head or neck area unless use of deadly force is justified. For the simple reason that it's entirely too easy to accidentally kill, paralyze, or cause permanent brain damage.

Apparently the cop and the guy he killed were former co-workers...

RCOB.3 moment everytime I see history of questionable failure to prosecute -- esp as a pattern of it appears. Got several of these running simultaneously with Flynn/FBI issue, Hillary still running around uncharged, 2008 Financial Fiasco etc.

I'm not a big fan of CNN, but this was definitely an unforced error by the Minn State Police. Particularly after being informed they were on live TV. The facts don't matter as much as the optics in something like this:

I don't necessarily think these Troopers are in the "Bad Cop" category, but they could use some work on their judgement and situational awareness skills.
