Need to act now to block the "censorship doctrine"

If you haven't heard the latest quotes from the Usual Suspects in re the mis-named "fairness doctrine" you need to listen up - I can't imagine anything more chilling in the last 60 years.

They want to enact a star-chamber in DC to make sure that no conservative thought can be expressed on radio without giving a Lib equal time, the definitions of which are to be defined by said appointees. No, NPR "doesn't count". No, the liberal TV media will not be effected - this will only apply to Rush, Hannity, Liddy, Levin, etc. No, when they support Dear Leader it won't count as lib-time, if Sean's on for an hour then they must give an hour to some Lib. They'll have the right to set the schedule to make sure the time-slots are "fair." In sum, it will either be the end of the radio business or the end of Conservative talk radio which is the obvious real target.

I thought Herr Goebbels cleared out his end of the gene pool in 1945, but it appears he's back, with a vengeance.

This is AMERICA, damnit, and I will not stand for this. You need to get on the horn to your congress-weasel ASAP - if we don't raise a bigger stink over this than we did over the shamnesty-debacle then we are going to be SCREWED.

See my thread on "How Obama Got Elected" for all the proof you should need that the rest of the media is as left-leaning as they can be - but NONE of them will be part of the new "fairness" - this will only apply to what slender bit of thread we have left.

It's a blatant attempt to censor conservative thought, and it must be stopped. After seeing the vid in my "How Obama Got Elected" thread, if you think there's any hope left of ever educating the public if this censorship passes, I believe you are dreaming.

I gotta tell you - the soap and ballot boxes are looking more and more hopeless to me every day.

The Congress-critters quoted today (hannity had the audio from the hearings) SAID SO!!!!

They said - when someone pointed out NPR was as leftist as it could be - "that doesn't count." IT'S FRIGGING TAXPAYER FUNDED, BUT ITS LEFTIST BIAS IS OK???!!!

They said in no uncertain terms that the concern was the "extremist views being propagated on so-called conservative talk radio."

Mr Ziegler is finishing a documentary - MUST-SEE teaser video at http://howobamagotelected.com/ - on "media malpractice" - he's laying out in inarguable terms how the blatant media bias not only failed to inform the public about the major issues in this election but actually MISLED them, resulting in Obama supporters who (according to a neutral Zogby poll) did worse on a 12-question multiple-choice "quiz" than they would if they had just GUESSED!!

All the things we know about Obama - for example "I've been in 57 states with - I think - one more to go..." - they blamed on Sarah or Johnny. Over 57% thought the Republicans were in control of Congress - a monkey throwing sh!+ at random would have done better!!

We all know there's one place where we can go to hear a conservative viewpoint, to hear the things the TV and Print-Powers will not discuss - that's talk radio - and they want to kill it.

My "Goebbels" comment was not facetious. Our current system is capitalism. Though the radio stations are owned by Libs, they let Hannity, Rush, Liddy et.al. have air-time because it makes them money.

When the .gov can control the programming on the radio - in the interest of "fairness" mind you - and force an hour of lib-time for each hour of Levin, their revenues will be cut in half, conservative talk will no longer be profitable, and the Lib takeover of our media will be complete.

You really need to check the "howobamagotelected.com" site, watch the "media malpractice" vids. I knew people were stupid, but I didn't really "get it" like I did when I saw this stuff.

We all knew the media was in the messiah's pocket, but I really didn't "get it" until I saw this. It really is like "1984" - the tele-screen says vote for Dear Leader, so that's what I will do. Failure to do so makes me a racist.

I knew all of this - WE knew all of this, but it really didn't sink in until I saw the aforementioned "Media Malpractice" vid. I GET IT now, and it really scares the hell out of me.

52% of voters don't know any better. ~10% of whites voted against him solely because he's black, I'll Wild-@$$-guess that 25% would vote R no matter what. This leaves ~13% of us who really are informed of stuff the mainstream media refuses to discuss - the CRITICAL THINGS!!! - because we listen to conservative radio.

I'd bet that is nearly -- NEARLY -- every person here.

I'm usually the first one to say "don't be an idiot" when people start talking about the third in our list of "boxes" but... Honestly, if they can do this then -- knowing our "mainstream media" is in the tank and now there's no hope of reversing this, knowing that our schools and colleges are almost exclusively run by leftists, knowing that all but a tiny few will get ONLY a never-ending stream of propaganda that would have made Herr Goebbels splooge in his skivvies...

Sorry, but most of us saw this coming. Our fellow citizens not only allowed it to happen...they demanded it. All of your worst nightmares concerning an Obambi presidency are going to come true. He hasn't even taken the oath and they are already planning on shutting down the competition. They remember how talk radio was able to keep people fired up during the Clinton debacle and they aren't prepared to go down that road again.

And let's be clear...the "Fairness Doctrine" isn't any kind of doctrine nor is it intended to be anything like fair. It is a tool to squelch conservative ideas. They have a first amendment that they can't really get around so they can't outright ban conservative speech...so they go for the next best thing...make it unprofitable. Take Air America as an example...they were going to be the liberal answer to Rush and Hannity and Ingraham...and they tanked big time. Nobody wanted to listen. They already have all three broadcast networks and three cable networks and virtually all the print outlets...nobody was going to spend time listening to a bunch of shrill Bush derranged lunatics rant when they could get the same thing only in a more calm and peaceful manner from their other media outlets. Conservatives have talk radio and FoxNews...that's it. The sum total of the media wing of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. And the oh so tolerant liberals NEED that to be shut down. They didn't even bothered denying it during the election cycle.

So, you're pissed right? You're pissed off at the left wing politicians who are pushing it to make these things a reality...and you should be. But before you get out the tar and feathers you need to remember that you friends and neighbors are the ones who fucked you. That's right...you didn't seriously believe that it was just a bunch of squishy headed dipshits like you saw in that video who voted to make this happen do you? People you know made this happen. People you like made this happen. People you love did this to the country. You mentioned Perot as a spoiler...and he was. Clinton only got 43% of the vote in '92...Obama got 52% and there weren't any spoliers. Americans collectively lost their mind on November 4th and we all are going to get the screwing that they so richly deserve...I need a drink...my butt hurts.

My ass hurts too. I lay some blame on the Republicans who went and voted for Obama in the primaries to get at Hillary but we must move forward.

We can't change some people, but others we can. McCain lost by 3 out of 100 votes. I believe some people are starting to see the foolishness of the press during the election. They are starting to see the Messiah recycling Clinton appointees. They voted against Bush/McCain believing the Messiah was the only other option.

We must start talking to those we can change. Little steps.. We must email and call our representatives. Doesn't matter if they are Democrats or Republicans. Apply the pressure.

McCain lost by three percent of the vote. That's three people out of 100 we need to change.

I've got kids and I won't allow a leftist takeover of this country to destroy them. I will not submit and bury my head.

Yeah - I think I have a man-crush on this dude but only because he barks out the truth in such a clear and easy to understand way. If we could just get the kids to listen we could probably have a whole generation of conservatives.

My kids have been ranting to me for weeks about their friends being mindless obamaphants without having a clue as to WHY - like most of the so-called adults who voted for him. They are now sharing these vids with them, with positive results.

They told me tonight that several of their friends - after watching the "how obama got elected / media malpractice" documentary and some of this Alfonzo-guy's vids are now asking them questions, trying to understand the conservative viewpoint. As a result, my girls are now asking me questions, gaining a deeper understanding so they don't look as stupid as their peers.

Eldest will be voting next year, and seems to grasp the gravity of the responsibility. She was shocked when Dear Leader won - she knows how much this all matters!! She could now literally lead a dozen or more of her peers to conservatism via youtube and a couple of talented people. Who knows how many they will tell, or they, or they, or... This is how revolution happens.

Sorry for pushing this guy, but I think he's that good. I'd happily vote for him in 2-12...

As to the rest of it, we are going to have to hold their feet to the fire, not allow a single BS statement to pass unchallenged. When they blame Bush for the mortgage crisis, we have to tell them how the affirmative-action lending policies Clinton's administration forced on banks are now coming home to roost. The current crappy economy is the result.

This is a HUGE country, and it takes many years for economic policies to take effect - Clinton skated through 8 years on the high caused by the previous 12 years of Reagan/Bush. Our current fiasco is directly due to the Clinton policies, while whatever happens on Dear Leader's term - good or bad - really IS probably due to the Dubya-years.

We must educate our neighbors whether they like it or not.

The one thing I think above all else is that we must shout-down any idiot playing the race card. White people elected the first (supposedly) black President, whose very existence pretty well proves that the few remaining racists are powerless. The fact that 98% of blacks polled admitted they voted obama due to race also puts the racism issue into stark reality. If even 5% of whites acted the same way we'd have President McCain...
