I wish he would have done this and other foot in mouth disease type things earlier.

Edit: I now see he made these comments way back in January. Amazing how this stuff is not covered by the MSM... http://www.wvrecord.com/news/215679-coa ... believable

I hope the United Mine Workers Association gets an eyeful and earful of that clip. Every single miner, engineer, and local boss ought to see it. If Barry O bankrupts the power plants, the mines close. If the mines close, the miners are screwed even more than they were earlier.

And furthermore, Southern Illinois has coal as its major industry. I knew he hated us downstaters, but not this much.

And if the mines close:

Railroads lose business and jobs

Steelmills lose jobs and have their costs increase--both the mills that need coal as a basic input, and the minimills that need cheap electicity from coal-fired power plants

And the cost of electricity might enter into some business calculations as well.

Glad I don't rely on electric heat.

They are probably counting on nice fat welfare checks after they are unemployed.

The unions in WV will endorse any democrat just because he is a democrat, it is a given. Anybody who wants to run for state or local office will almost have to do it as a democrat. All democrat campaign printed materials will have a union label on it.
