Stirring the pot alright:
Asked for a response to Awad's concerns, she said of Muslims: ''I don't trust them at all. They've sworn across the world that they are our enemies. Why we're trying to elect one is beside me.''
and
''I still have freedom of speech and an opinion. If the Islamic group doesn't like it, well, I don't like what's going on in their camp, either,'' Stirman said.
She's not alone either, not by a LONG shot.

wasnt it the 9/11 commission that said, that they were at war with us long before we realized it.

Oh boy! I like this gal! Finally someone speaks out publically and doesn't back down when the asswipes from CAIR throw their usual tantrum. I hope the New Mexico republican party tells CAIR exactly where to get off (not likely...but one can hope).

Oh boy, talk about painting with a broad brush.

Muslims are not the enemy. Radical Muslims who preach "convert or die" are the enemy.

I have a classmate at Boise State University who is a Muslim from Morocco. He is a good guy, hard worker, and is tolerant of other people.
Years from now our children and grandchildren living in a 3rd world America will ask "What were you doing on March 21st 2010 and why didn't you stop it?"

What about Muslims that want to make people recant because they said that Muslims are the enemy?

Kind of why I prefer the term "Islamofacist". I'm only after those of that religion that want to impose their barbaric code on the rest of us (aka Sharia law*) by force. I'd be just as adamant about standing up to any other flavor of statists/totalitarians (and have), it's just the Islamo flavor is the larges threat to the US and civilization at the moment.

(*Please note, if you want to live under that code, feel free. Just don't expect me to express anything but contempt and derision about anyone that's stupid enough to volunteer to do so. Just as I do about people that choose to live under socialism, in "Gun Free Zones" etc. But please move somewhere where they already live in the dark ages. Don't EVEN think about trying to enforce it here).
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

I agree, but the problem is how to tell the difference, isn't it? The enemy doesn't come with distinctive uniforms or labels or tattoos so we can tell them from those who are not enemies. Were there perhaps some non-radical muslms on those three airliners on September 11? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that ALL of the "pilots" were Muslims. Lacking the ability to draw the fine line, I'll go with the broad brush for a safety margin.

And in a perfect world, that would really matter. In the real, and imperfect, world we have to live in each of us is painted with the broad brush (and we paint likewise in return). Pick any group - Dimmicrats, Episcopalians, steelworkers, astronauts, Jews, Marines, alcoholics, etc. - and we all have a "group perspective" that applies. But within each group there are individuals that DO NOT meet that perspective. If I merely told you that I am Episcopalian I'll bet you would immediately form opinions based on that single piece of information, opinions that would be wrong because I am far from a "typical" Episcopalian.

Living in the real world requires us to observe, gather information and make decisions. We aren't always right, and when we determine we aren't, we do the whole process over again. It happens every waking hour and it isn't always easy, but then life is only easy if you're stupid, (and that should hurt).....

well, when few if any Muslims express outrage over the actions of the radicals... they are complicit via silence... but let someone publish a cartoon and they will throw a fit...
