Rod, I appreciate your willingness to amend your beautifully simple process to accommodate me. However, it wouldn't be necessary today. My escape from the PRC was nine years ago and the lack of firearms has long been corrected, (the paltry few we shot in Austin are but a fraction of the total).

Problem is for those of you who still think "Let Kali Sink" is that on a bad year we have the worlds 7th largest economy and on a good one the 5th. Kali can sink the US economy by itself. Our problem here is not with the good fleeing...that has already happened; rather all of the socialist easterners that keep coming here from the rust belt and other lib leaning places. We don't need more out of work UAW, Teamsters, freaks, boarder hoppers, etc. Everyone keeps coming from somewhere else and expecting handouts. Then some move elsewhere and you blame us for the socialist tendancies that they bring with them (not to mention the power that comes with the money from selling their houses here). Frisco got taken over by the freaks that came from all over the country in the 60's. Now they are in charge there. What the hell do you expect? To fix the problem we need more of you to move in here and help us take back our wonderful state. Let Kali get infested by intolerent rednecks and see what happens.

I have lived in this state for over 35 years and it has gone down hill ever since that time. We must have the most corrupt fools in Sacto rule by insane policies. They really do not understand the the tax units, ie. the people can move. And moving we are in 2008. There has been a net loss of over 250K last year of high income people.

Mekender, any chance you could change your avatar? I don't have a problem with your sentiment, but I'm getting tired of having the middle digit in my face every time I read a post from you.

Thank you Felix. I showed back up right at the end and then the end hit. At least I got the 411 in the nick of time.

Good to see old faces.

Given the size of CA and it's role nationally I'm not sure the instinct to bail out from the state is the best solution.
Nationally CA is strategic ground that has to be won sooner or later. Abandon us in CA today at the peril of all.

Hiding in a comfortable Red State Hobbit hole with a gun/reloading space in a tornado basement won't keep the Ring Wraiths from the Shire. Some body(s) must take the fight to Mordor.

Personally it's expensive to stay (tax rates, degree of freedom) and the need to stay in the political fight every day is a bit of a drain. But at what price liberty?

CA is not just about this one state. CA is so influential in media and demographic that it is about the entire country.

Protect our base in RKBA states and expand our base in strategic territory like CA.
The leftists don't reproduce at the rate of we sons of liberty. I say:
Come to CA
Influence local media and politics
Out breed the GFW's
Take back the education of the next generation (home school, private school, charter school, keep fighting for school board seats).

Heck, we should be able to out breed the state's leftist population in one generation. I've done my part. :-)

OTH, maybe we just need Aesop at the state line inspecting for fruit and welcoming inbound NE libs -- that'd slow the migration from the east for sure.

Good to see this thread accomplishing its intended purpose. Too bad I wasn't getting post replies.
