The Socialist Party of America announced in their October 2009 newsletter that 70 Congressional democrats currently belong to their caucus.
This admission was recently posted on Scribd.com:

Q: How many of the DSA members sit on the Judiciary Committee?
A: Eleven: John Conyers [Chairman of the Judiciary Committee], Tammy Baldwin, Jerrold Nadler, Luis Gutierrez,

Well I know at least San Diegan Bob Filner is for certain. He's a full blown red-diaper-doper baby. His dad was a leader in the American Communist Party back in the 40's. Keeps getting elected by the clueless voters in South Bay (probably with a sizeable chunk of illegal votes).

Right but incomplete.

'I just discovered there are 70 devout socialists in congress...and about 300+ slightly-less-than devout' is probably closer to the truth.

Their voting records and actions speak the actual truth ! Never mind that their party is dim or 'rat --their title is liar, coward and hyprocrite.
