It is now looking like the democratic party's involvement in this latest economic crisis is more corrupt than anything this country has seen since the 1910's... Amazingly enough, they have managed to shift the blame off of themselves and it seems like they are coming out smelling like roses while blaming the republicans for the problem. It is also looking like Obama is knee deep in the mess too, but he stands a good chance of becoming our next president... I just cannot shake the feeling that this is about as bad as it could and that things are going to come to a head in a bad way...
Am i the only one or should i just stop watching TV for the next month and invest in some good Sci-Fi books?

A lot can change in a month, if McCain plays this card right. Bad, or perceived bad economic times always reflect badly on the ruling party.
McCain needs to give a quick history lesson on how it's Democrats who tried to turn housing into their latest equal [strike]opportunity[/strike] outcome program, combined with Sarbanes\Oxley, that got us into this mess.
And he needs to tell everyone he can that in 1994 Obama was the lawyer who sued Citibank for not having enough mortgages in select neighborhoods.

Well does anybody here remember Alec Baldwin, Hollywood leftist loon?
It seems he came out in public and blamed Clinton, the Democrat Party, Barney Frank, and his little dog too, for the current subprime mess. I seem to remember that When he was married to Kim Bassinger that a lot of their money went into real estate. I wonder if he identified the fingerprints on the splintery two by four that jammed up his financial behind.
Obers past associates are starting to leak into the main stream news, the communist agitators, the slum lords, the gang mouthpieces, the ACORN election fixers, and others that give bad names to maggots.
His past actions are starting to show up here and there, questions about why he resigned his law license. Warrents out for traffice tickets before he applied apparentyl. It may have been resign or get disbarred. Apparently his wife gave up hers, no reason found yet.

his admitting that he used cocaine combined with his associations with Ayers and Rezko would make it so that he couldnt even get a job with the FBI... so how is it that he can be eligible for president?

Invest in gold and ammunition. And that applies just as much if McRino wins.mekender wrote:...Am i the only one or should i just stop watching TV for the next month and invest in some good Sci-Fi books?
At its roots, the boom and bust was caused by the Fed manipulating and inflating the money supply--the corruption of the Dems and Fannie and Freddie, etc. are secondary issues--and the Guvmint is going to continue running the printing press like never before.
Re: How bad is it?
Pretty bad. It is all up to us, as explained in an article linked by American Digest:
But choose your battlegrounds. What he said for (nearly all) journalists also applies to nearly all Democrat voters, in my experience.
I get the same hope some days... I needed the reminder.I have just about had it with the conservative punditry and their plaintive wailings about the unfairness of the self-proclaimed "mainstream media" (snip)
"Where is the outrage?" "Why does the mainstream media concentrate exclusively on the failings of the right while completely ignoring the failings of the left?" (snip)
Will they ever learn? What makes them think that the Big Media would or, for that matter, should behave otherwise? Would any of the conservative journalists perplexed by the "unfair" attitude of the Big Media wax indignant about the German Propaganda Ministry of the 1930's spreading outrageous lies about the opponents of the Nazi regime (snip) it couldn't behave in any other way; that's what it did.
(snip) Dr. Johnson described a second marriage as the triumph of hope over experience. So too conservatives, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, desperately cling to a belief that deep in the bosom of the Big Media there lives an honest broker yearning to break free, and if it hasn't happened so far, the conservatives have no one else to blame but themselves because they have failed to convince the media to repent.
Hope springs eternal in the conservative breast that we are on the verge of an imminent breakthrough: just one more fact laid out, just one more liberal smear blown out of the water and the scales will fall off the liberal journalists' eyes. They will see the light and embark upon the path of righteousness and objectivity. This hope is as baseless as it is stupid
But choose your battlegrounds. What he said for (nearly all) journalists also applies to nearly all Democrat voters, in my experience.

It's real bad. The indoctrination of youth to worship "Our Dear Leader" has already begun.
