In and out in maybe 15 minutes this morning. Busy, but no lines. All in all, a good experience on this, what I consider the most patriotic of days.

Wife and I lined up at 6:15, line was very long. Not quite enough poll workers. We got out in 50 minutes, and there was no line. I think next time I'll go in at 7:00.

We have prolly the strictest voter ID requirement in the country, you have to show a gov't issued I.D. with your address (I think). You can get a free I.D. if you have the documentation.

The turnout has been phenomenal.
I went at 1 pm during a late lunch break and only had to wait in line about 15min at my neighborhood polling place in suburban central PA. I understand the waits approached 45 minutes in the morning and afternoon rushes.

There's been a bit of a fracas in which the touch-screen electronic ballot systems have been thrown out, in favor of a paper ballot that gets electronically scanned, just so there is something on paper to be counted in case of problems.

On one hand, that's good because there's something physical upon which to fall back.
On the other hand, there's actually a bit more potential for creative counting when humans are doing the job.

The longest I ever waited in a general election was early voting in 1992 for GHWB at 90 minutes at the University of Texas at Arlington.

The longest I ever waited in the primaries was this year. Nearly 2/3 of the people there were voting in the Dem primary. It took about 2hrs 30mins.
