Brownies are good. Esp. warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.

And if the ATF were starving, I would not share my brownie.

And thus the post count begins anew. Howdy all. :)

Yes the ATF sucks. If they were properly ran and disciplined then I think it could be a good organization. Meaning sales of legitimately confiscated weapons. But as I see it the ATF is currently just trying to drive FFL's out of business.

The slide to the Dark Side started long ago, but it was briskly accelerated when the BATFE was moved from the Department of the Treasury to the Department of Justice. Now the Revenuers think they are REAL Law Enforcement Officers!

Most of the administrative folk aren't bad, albeit generally clueless, but the "enforcement" cowboys make the Keystone Cops look like paragons of discipline and order. A good first move would be to reassign their sorry asses back to the Treasury Department and get them back to chasing alcohol and tobacco tax violations.

Wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. Might go find some gasoline though... Were I Pres for a day, I'd shitcan them, the EPA, and the Dept of Ed, in that order, hopefully before my morning smoke break.

Now I'm gonna get flamed for this one but there is ONE part that actually does it's job with minimal harassment of us "common" folks. The Arson branch is quite professional and does a damn good job. Now if my brother-in-law sees this maybe I can quit worrying about them raiding me.

BOOT THE BATFE!!
2nd that notion and have a sticky linking the JPFO there as well as the BATF(U) so we can keep abreast of their actions...

Yes, they suck, and they blow too. The only good thing about them is that they are far too small to actually abuse all the responsibilities that have been given them. Were they to attempt the kind of condiscation, that Chuck Schumer has wet dreams about, they wouldn't last more than a dozen raids. I use to joke, and not that big a joke, about most of them being "Clerks with guns". That pretty well sums it up I think. There are certainly professionals in the organization, but it is too bad, since the good , legitimate, and necessary work that they do is overshadowed by the "secret police-like" BS. Add to that, is the level of potential abuse that they could do! I don't see any solution other than to disolve the Organization, as the institutional abuses have infitrated the bone, like an aggressive form of cancer. Moving the ATF hasn't done anything.

The ATF would confiscate your brownie. It's their SOP. They'd accuse you of having an illegal Class III brownie, or of not filling out your brownie transfer paperwork correctly.
