^ Very interesting. I rather hope, for his integrity and honor, that it won't change his vote, but I'm doubtful.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

That actually has the potential to create a lot of really gnarly, messy cases where the majority decision is a conglomeration of concurring opinions, with no real governing majority opinion.
Example: 5-4 split, Roberts in the majority. He decides to write the opinion himself, and Gorsuch decides he agrees with Roberts' reasoning supporting the decision. Thomas, Kavanaugh, and ACB agree with the result, but not the reasoning, and so one of them writes a concurring opinion with completely different reasoning and precendents.

I hope, for the rest of us, that he and Breyer decide to take dirt naps early in a second Trump term.

meh, seems like we've already got that. Thomas consistently spanks the majority (Roberts) with his differing majority opinions. See Heller for starters if I recollectThat actually has the potential to create a lot of really gnarly, messy cases where the majority decision is a conglomeration of concurring opinions, with no real governing majority opinion.
