First,

Thanks to those who defended me. 'preciate it.

Spells,

I am not a Republican. I haven't been since Bush the 1st went back on his "read my lips, no new taxes" pledge, AND he stopped by E.O. the importation of Galils, FNFALs, HK 91s, etc. I got pissed off, and I went independant.

Regarding the 10 points of Communism:

#1. While one still owns property(land) per se, is it really yours? Try not paying property taxes, and see what happens. (There MAY be a way around that, but I'm not going into that here.) And what do you call putting severe property restrictions on private land owners, in the name of endangered species? There may be a very few ivorybilled woodpeckers on private land near the Tensas National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana, or the White River Refuge in Arkansas. But I can promise you that if I or my cousin ever see one on his land near the Tensas Refuge, we won't be telling the Feds. They might stop him from managing his timber, or even try to claim eminent domain under the Endangered Species Act.

#2. Self evident. And the GOP is guilty, just like the Dems. What the hell is not "progressive" enough about a flat tax rate? It's not a true FLAT TAX(where everyone pays the same amount), but it's a bunch better than what we have now. In particular, I like Dick Armmey's plan.

#3. Are you aware that there are high ranking members of the Democratic party that believe no inheritance should be allowed? In particular, one of Bill Clinton's advisors thought this would be a great idea, because he didn't think that the children of wealthy parents(and his idea of wealthy wasn't real high) have a right to be willed possessions and property. His name escapes me at the moment, but you can go practice your GoogleFu if you don't believe me.

#4. (part 1)War on drugs. You do not have to be proven guilty to get your property seized.
(part 2)The IRS is attempting to punish wealthy people who want to emigrate to low or no tax jurisdictions. If I move to another country, become a citizen there, and renounce my US citizenship, where the hell does the IRS get off hitting me with an "exit tax"? And did you know that the US and Libia are the only two countries that try to tax their citizens on all income earned from any source anywhere in the world? Nice going, IRS....you are right there with Muammar al-Gaddafi.

#5. Are you kidding me? What do you think the role of the Federal Reserve is? What do you think the government buying shares in private banks and investment firms is?

#6. AT&T was a government sanctioned monopoly for 70 years. Thanks to the heroic Carter Phone Company making a phone other than black, and suing to break the government imposed monopoly, the communications industry has made spectacular progress after begin stifled for three-quarters of a century. It took the telephone 67 years to get to 50% of US households thanks to the strangling effects of monopoly status, compared with 6 years for the World Wide Web to hit 50%. And trust me, the dot-gov would LOVE to be able to control the WWW. Heck, they snoop enough on it already.

#7. I believe that former California Governor Gray Davis once proposed confiscating power and utility companies, and giving them to the state to run. As California goes, so goes.....

#8. Well, thanks to Welfare, food stamps, Aid to Dependant children, Section Eight housing, etc, the incentives TO work seem to be missing.

#9. While this hasn't happened much, it is essentially just more destruction of property rights.

#10. Well, we’ve certainly reached the education camp ideal espoused in the communist manifesto. Instead of universal access to "free" education, we now have universal compulsory indoctrination. Look at the assault on home-schoolers for further proof. Look at "No Child left Behind"(thank you NOT, GWB). And if school vouchers ever get put in place, I hope the private schools are smart enough to refuse to accept them as payment. Camel's nose under the tent, and all that.

See there, I can count to ten........... even doe I bees a Loosianna rednekk.

#4 happens for things other than just the war on drugs... the recent incident with Cav Arms comes to mind...

civil asset forfeiture can be implemented against ANYONE and if you wish to challenge it, your first step is to post a 20% bond against the value of the property... there does not have to be any charges against the owner, merely the suspicion that the items seized were being used to further criminal activity.

The Free Market is an elemental force -- a society has to either harness it, and work with it, or be destroyed by it... China's learning this, and the West is forgetting it...
McCain's whole tax policy is based on lowering corporate rates specifically because they are so high compared with other countries.

I heard one of Urkel's supporters being interviewed on TV on Sunday evening and he was going on about some of these programs he wants to implement, and the reporter asked him, "What's going to pay for all this?" (or something to this effect), and Urkel's sycophant said, "We're not" - AND THE REPORTER LET IT GO AND MOVED TO OTHER SUBJECTS.

I heard that and couldn't believe it! I was doing stuff around the house so I couldn't see who it was, but I was just floored that Urkel wasn't going to pay for their new programs that they wanted to implement, they were just going to be FREE?

And the media sucks it all up, and people aren't questioning it.

We already have WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much government now and can't pay for all the programs going on and they want to keep creating MORE.

I keep envisioning the scene in the Matrix where Agent Smith is fighting and he looks up and says, "MORE, MORE........" and agents (government employees) just start streaming into the courtyard. That's how our government is growing.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
