Reminds me of an exchange from the underrated (it says here) movie The Big Fix. The protagonist, '60s leftist private eye Moses Wine (played by Richard Dreyfuss) having been grabbed by some more "direct action" types, said something like, "After all the money I donated to you people...."
Radical chick: "Muy bien...a liberal."
Wine: "Oh, low blow."
The movie was based on the book of the same name by Roger Simon (who also wrote the screenplay). First time I remember seeing F. Murray Abraham, who was great in it.
