Good; it's an entirely new type of vaccine(mRNA) that was rushed to market, and had the stringint FDA testing that's usually performed on vaccines, waived. Let them be the guinea pigs and if, say half them drop dead, then it's no real loss.
Ditto to that
And all this for a virus with a lethality rate of .2% for healthy adults under age 70. And for children under 14, the rate is .04%. About twice as many children have been lost to seasonal flu this year than to SARS-CoV-2.

The fact that there is a caution for women of child bearing age not to become pregnant for up to 1 yr after taking the vaccine should say something.............
That's pretty much SOP for almost any vaccine or medication for that matter. It's not ethical to experiment on pregnant women, so they can't in good faith say that it's safe either.

I guess the people who survive the virus but suffer permanent physical harm from it don't count, as usual. Mrs. NPR and I will be getting vaccinated at our earliest opportunity. I am tired of this shit and I want to be done with it.

Had a mild case (incl. positive test) in early December. Feeling fine now. Old enough not to be interested in becoming a father again. Current attitude is "wait and see and probably get the vaccine in a few months."

There's nothing "minor" about this
The only thing exceptional about this is Covids transmission rate. It has a survival rate of those under 70 of 99%+. Most of the fatalities under it have serious comorbities such as cancer, being immunocompromised, etc.
While it makes sense to administer it to the elderly and vulnerable, taking a potentially risky vaccine for those who are neither makes no sense to me.

You're forgetting that this virus does a lot more than just kill people. Loss of lung function (which is generally permanent), increased risk of DVT and stroke (even in the previously young and healthy), acute kidney injuries...and we're just at the very beginning of understanding the potential long term consequences of infection.
