I understand, but the amount of money they're spending is a portion of a drop in the bucket for what they've shorted the pensions and need to raise taxes to cover the difference.Weetabix wrote:And I'm pissed off that they're spending money on this when they're crying about funding to the extent that they're talking about raising taxes.
It's also becoming ever more clear that these people feel they are no longer public servants and instead preside OVER us. I think if you got some people involved and are able to make this just one more instance of the distancing of those who are SUPPOSED to serve the public and work FOR and those they serve, you might start convincing people that your government is getting far too big for its britches and needs to be brought back down to earth.
We gotta' start somewhere and build on our successes before we can tackle Washington.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

So are you saying:
1. Gummint employees treat the public like serfs.
2. Public, who are really the bosses, get tired of being treated like crap, and
3. Some member of public gets frustrated and wants to hurt gummint employees.
4. Gummint employees say, "Quick! Set up TSA-type security on our perimeter!"
When the real solution should be:
1. Gummint employees quit treating public like serfs.
