and with the recent bank bailouts, is there a difference between the company granting credit and the government?
There are ways around everything. Find a friend or relative who's terminally ill, have them get the phone/debit card/account for you. Set up a private corporation which is wholly owned by an offshore corporation, and use that to buy/lease/purchase things. Etc. The list is long.

BTW,
Talking about this stuff reminds me: has Kbarrett come on board yet?

You don't even need to go that far if the soon-to-be-gone friend/relative is willing to get the account for you under their name and your PO Box at a Postal Express store because as long as the bill keeps being paid, they don't care who set it up.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
