Institutional Capture

Post by D5CAV »

Wow! Long piece but worth the read: https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/the-ta ... system?s=w

This leads to Judges who do stuff like this:
On May 28, 2020, Lee, Jr., then 25 years old, broke into the MaX it PAWN Shop, in Minneapolis. It had been three days since George Floyd had been murdered by a white police officer, about ten blocks south, and the city had been engulfed by riots. As looters grabbed whatever they could find, Lee poured lighter fluid all over the pawn shop. Then, he set it on fire. Outside, Lee raised his arm and clenched his fist. In a video, he can be seen saying, “Fuck this place. We’re gonna burn this bitch down.”

At the time, Lee was unaware that Oscar Stewart, Jr., a 30-year-old father of five, was trapped inside and that he would die of smoke inhalation and excessive burns. A little over two weeks later, police arrested Lee, who pleaded guilty to arson.
The woke prosecutor asked for lenient sentencing, but the judge went even further:
The judge, Wilhelmina Wright, appeared to buy that argument. On January 14, she handed down a sentence of just 10 years—even fewer than the prosecution had asked for.
Judge Wright attended Harvard where she took classes with Derrick Bell, founder of Critical Race Theory.
At Boston College Law School this semester, a constitutional law professor asked students: “Who does not think we should scrap the constitution?” According to a student in the class, not a single person raised their hand.
Yeah, they control the police and the military, but remember a work by British poet Byron that comforted Gandhi during his many imprisonments by the British.
Rise like lions after slumber,
In uncountable number,
Shake off your chains like morning dew,
Which in sleep had fallen on you,
For you are many, and they are few...
Total police and military is about 2 million, and most are either "support" or "staff and management", or as we used to say in the US Army "ash and trash" and "REMFs".
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I read about it elsewhere. Minneapolis is falling apart as are the rest of the Leftopias. No society can go on with that and that is what is happening.

As always, the affluent Leftists will flee to saner places and the poor left behind will suffer. Like NY they may eventually find a Giuliani type leader to put things back together or they may slide until they are Detroit. We will see.

If that doesn't have St Louis Police seriously considering transfers to the hinterlands, I'm not sure anything will. Dude was literally stupid enough to attempt a carjacking on a MARKED POLICE SUV. Like, with a full-up po-po paintjob, lights, & shit. Note the lack of details about our friendly neighborhood choirboy and imply what you will.
