Lesson: burn down all the businesses you want, and you get let out. Touch the Cathedral and jail time.

I think 2 years is a slap on the wrist and the judge praised the guy...scipioafricanus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 10:22 am Lesson: burn down all the businesses you want, and you get let out. Touch the Cathedral and jail time.

Yeah…. Heard a defense lawyer call a kidnapper, rapist, drug-dealer and multiple murder as someone who just “had a bad two weeks.”

I'm not sure about federal code (AFAIC, this should have been in state court, except I'm guessing the MN AG, commie douche that he is, quashed it), but under the Texas Penal Code, arson is a second degree felony. 2 years is the minimum.
And that $12m will never be paid. Pointless, other than maybe keeping him off the (legal) voter rolls and making him a prhibited person until he dies.

Arson of an occupied building usually carries a very lengthy jail term.
