Police arrest victim of BLM attack

Post by D5CAV »

No, not "The Onion": https://www.zerohedge.com/political/la- ... ed-live-tv

Some guy in a Prius (friend of Greta) finds himself in the middle of a BLM/ antifa mob. They pull him out of the Prius and beat him. He manages to run away and is arrested by police.

From po-po perspective, this was probably the most rational way to defuse the situation. The guy is now in protective custody and will probably walk out of the police station when someone comes to pick him up.

However, one of 1000 comments sums up where many in "flyover America" are going with this:
To the cops that arrested this person who was fleeing a mob,

a mob that formed under your watch

a mob that you refuse to do anything about

a mob that terrorizes us, threatens our way of life, and seeks to overthrow the very constitution that you have sworn an oath to uphold

i do not ever want to hear another b***h a** cop whine about getting ambushed, shot to death, poisoned or anything else ever again.

the people perpetrating these acts are in the streets right now for you to arrest, but you are too cowardly to do anything with them, so you arrest the VICTIMS WHO ONCE SUPPORTED YOU!!

I mean this from the bottom of my cold, black heart

F**K YOU!
Yup.

When my liberal acquaintances talk about defunding police, I say sure, but you won't hear me whining when the police don't show-up when I dial 911 because I don't dial 911. Me and my family take care of our own problems. We've got 400 acres and a backhoe. No police; no problem.

#1 mistake was being in the middle of an Antifa protest.

#2 was being in a Prius. Hell, my Escape has 200 hp and will tow 3500lbs.

Sometimes you just have the bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and even a Prius will still have no problem going through a crowd. The victim's real issue was lack of will.

I own a Prius and a Dodge Ram diesel 2500 4x4 on 32's. If I have to go anywhere near a suspected pantifa suspected area you know which one I will take. That being said, the Prius has an AR and +/- 200 rounds of 5.56 as well as my on body carry of a full sized 9 and +/- 50 rounds. That assumes no one else is with me who is also armed. Not a good way to bet.

I will NOT be pulled from my car. I might end up deaf or dead but it won't be for lack of effort to get away. Fortunately, TN is not a hotbed of the hot mess and I almost never go to downtown Nash and NEVER go to Memphidishu.

They may have arrested him to get him out of there, then released him once he was out of the area of conflict.

My problem with the guy is that he in no way drove like he was getting the hell out of there.

Good read! Thanks!

It made me think of the old quote by C.S.Lewis about different types of tyrannies.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.
