Hell, My maternal family has been in LA since well before the United States was a gleam in Washington's eye. I know my family owned slaves at some point, just like I know my family was indentured as well. Can't say I feel bad about either. Fuck'em, get over it and get a damn job.

You know, once the meme of "reparations" has been created, why stop at slavery? My father's family was harmed by government practices in the farming industry in the 20's and 30's, and of course, by being drafted and spending WW2 in unform in foreign places he di not make as much money as the munitions manufacturers whom the government was excessivly concerned with providing a return on investment sufficient to retain their services -- drafting them, too would have been "socially just". I mean, where can it end? Looking for it, one can find "injustice" and unfairness in rail-car sized lots.

This "reparations" business is definitely another divisive race-hustling scheme to keep resentment levels up. I'm waiting for my reparations check for the MacMillan side of the family that suffered under the British in the 18th Century. Any reparations that they try to extract from me should have as a credit my Great-grandfather's service in the Civil War, during the course of which he did get shot through the thigh (touching no bone nor artery, he lived through the experience and died 45 years later with two working legs).

Ok guys, lets be honest here, Barry Hussein came out against reperations in a couple of instances publicly. He couldn't back them especially as he would not qualify, talk about losing cred. amongst other reasons.
