FYI: Mennonites live in the modern era -- plenty of restrictions on their behavior, but they have electricity, cars, etc.

Amish... Amish are creative on their restrictions... AFAIK, they don't shun modern medicine, etc.
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our Fortunes, & our sacred Honor

We have one of the largest collections of Mennonites worldwide in my province and yes, they are quite modern...But go to Ohio and area and check out Old Order Mennonites and they are the same as the Amish--same background even...We even have Dukabors and Hutterites who live on communal farms and share the workload...

Old Order joke...Why won't O.O. couples have sex standing up?
It might lead to dancing!

I have two families of Mennonite on my street; one neighbour is a school principal and his wife is a nurse (BN) and another is a cardiologist. Probably 20% of my high school belonged to the church…

It's the imams and other religious leaders are the ones who are killing off professors, teachers, nurses and doctors because they don't want the information that the world is running quite fine without Allah and are keeping the people in ignorance (no internet, Hell, no TV) and in many cases illiterate...
There is a certain type of mentality that thinks if you make certain inanimate objects illegal their criminal misuse will disappear!

Damn the TSA and Down with the BATF(u)E!
