because the number of poor and uneducated in this country has finally reached a high enough level that offering freebie handouts is a solid way to win and election... and the dimmocrats are masters at offering handouts.

Damn, I don't like her for her gun control, but I couldn't imagine someone worse than her in that seat. It sucks I'm not living in NC anymore...
BTW, McCain is supposedly withdrawing from Michigan. I've not seen a single ad of his since I've been here(mostly since I don't watch TV that often) so I don't think it'll make a big difference. Of course, this IS Detroit...
