URL Alternate Text

Post by rightisright »

Is there an easy way to enter alternate text for a URL instead of typing the HTML? When I hover over the URL button, it looks like it gives an either/or option, but comes up as ""

The bbcode URL works either two ways.

Code: Select all

[url]www.google.com[/url]
makes:
http://www.google.com

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.google.com]google[/url]
makes:
google

The usage text below the button shows both ways to use it, but the text the button inserts only supports the first 'simple' form.

And the simple form is rather irrelevant if we're automatically parsing URLs.
