The color sucks but I can live with that, but having to dig through all the sub cats to find the current topics is gonna suck. Or did I miss that button?
Quick links at the top left has Active Topics in it.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Scrolling icons to the left of thread titles - does that mean [# responses >= 25]?

A star means you've posted to it or are subscribed?

Red means unread and blue means read?

I can't decide if I like the new Forum format or not.

What was the reason for the change?

The underlying software needed to be upgraded. The old theme isn't compatible with the new software.

Yeah, not liking the new look, tough on my eyes but what-evah... Change happens. We adapt or die.

I am thankful for the time and effort that went into making the upgrade run so smoothly.

I reckon having spent so much time here that any change of this scale would probably be tough. The thing I miss most is the simplicity of clicking "active topics" and then seeing flag on the left by threads that have posts I have not read yet.

The new unread posts isn't as intuitive for this old dog. Maybe it's that it throws up a lot of old non-active topics into my view that have some unread portion by me. That's a bit of an OCD-ish stressor -- feel like there's a bunch of unfinished business I need to go revisit all those dead threads. I passed on reading the final parts of those threads for some reason but don't recollect why and triggers a sense that I need to churn back thru them to remember why. I don't have the time for that, so I've been stayinig away a bit and not staying up on active topics as much.

I think the latte theme looked like a good one to use as a starting point for a custom theme.
