For some reason, topics I haven't read, show an opened letter, which I would presume to indicate a read topic, and unread topics show a closed envelope...

that can happen if you dont read them and close your browser... or if you log in from one computer and the later log in from another computer...

No, it's correctly identifying which topics have been read, it just seems to have reversed the logos...

I take it you're using IE as your browser? Have you tried deleting your Internet cache (make sure you also check the box to include all offline content too)?

Have you tried clearing your network cache (Tools | Advanced | Network), then closing and restarting your browser?

It's what I see too. Closed letters for read topics and open letters for unread. Double check for yourself, I think it's the program itself.

It's no big deal since I just look for the little page with the <- on it to see what new messages are there.

Try changing your board style to something else and the next day change it back. It might be the system if it's happening to more than one person.

Heh, I am the super user and I get the same icons....
