Here's another:
What's the difference between God and a doctor?
God doesn't think he's a doctor.
My 11-year-old daughter came home from school and told me that one of the boys in her class at recess wanted to play Doctor.
Fearing the worst, I asked her what had happened.
"Nothing, he kept me waiting for a half hour and then double billed Obamacare."

I used to have a fair amount of respect for Docs. Then I went to work for a hospital...

I used to feel the same way about
pilots. Don't get me wrong, there are some damn good ones out there, but the other 50-60% are the reason my hair is starting to turn grey at 33.

A year working at Johns Hopkins made me think medical school consists of 1 year of advanced paramedic training and 3 years of arrogance training.

I watched a Korean TV series called "Good Doctor". The main character is autistic but a genius at diagnosis and treatment. His main handicap was he seemed to think the patients welfare came first and the staff really wanted to get rid of him. But with the help of a few he adapted. He learned when and how to lie, how to drink, and how to snarl and intimidate people and how to suck up to superiors.
A back story was how doctors and administrators were taking kickbacks from a drug company and a major bank that wanted to transform the teaching hospital to a strictly for profit hospital. I sure am glad nothing like that couldn't happen here in the US.....Oh wait Snarc/Off
I'm a tad bitter about how generic Albuterol sulfate asthma rescue inhalers are no longer available in the US.

What's interesting is how some of the biggest assholes are often the best sticks.

Depends on the kind of asshole, I suppose. Some pilots seem more interested in ground aborting and grounding jets than doing the whole "fly fight and win" thing.

One of the pilots (well more than one, but this guy in particular) where I work is a real pain in the ass as far as maintenance is concerned.... But, from talking to guys who have jumpseated with him, if the weather is total shit, or there is some sort of inflight issue, he's the guy you want flying the plane. Nothing rattles him.
