If he kicked one of my cats like that he wouldn't have come back from Copperhead Road.

Those didn't look like kicks to me so much as using his feet to lift and toss the critter away. I.e. didn't look like the feet had much velocity at contact with the cat. And it certainly didn't look like the cat was harmed, either by contact with the feet or on landing.

My buddy, Brad Hudson, is a retired Major with the Durham PD in NC. He said he had a cat climb his leg once on a domestic, but the critter never made it past his waist. He was in stitches over this one. So was I...

That wasn't a kick. That's a good, humane, way to get an overly-friendly, unknown animal away from you w.o. getting scratched.

There's a difference between kicking a cat, and lifting a cat w. an instead and tossing it aside.
