Are you sure? I do know that we were/are one of the few apex predators that aren't ambush hunters, but rather endurance ones - we'd run what we were hunting to death.. I know over long distances, we're even capable of running horses to death... Hell, it's one of the reasons why we're hairless - the adaption of sweating gave us a massive advantage in heat regulation, so the hair had to go..

This is true, but the amount of energy we produce per lb is very low. Again, our adaptation at work. We burn less energy accomplishing the same task. Namely, if I run a rabbit till it dies (I have actually done this, a fence was of great help) I will get more energy out of my meal then I expend.

Chimps have better fine motor skills than you have stated. The reason they haven't done more is because they are about as intelligent as the average human child of about 4-6 yrs.

If humans were even half as strong(pound for pound) as chimps, combined with our intelligence we would be truly amazing.

This is why I like John Ringo's Posleen storyline. Humans aren't the most dangerous things in the galaxy. Seem to be battling it out between 2nd place with the voracious reptilian centaur things which eat everything in sight. 4th most dangerous is dangerous by proxy, and 5th and 6th are pushovers.
Still not sure about the Himmit.

The premise is that Earth has the highest gravity of any other planet to evolve intelligent life. This means that humans are faster, stronger, tougher and more coordinated than anything else out there.
It's free on the lending library. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it. Pretty cool idea!

Lending Library? Amazon's? Is the book any good?

Sorry, yes, Amazon's. It's no literary masterpiece, and it's rather short, but I did enjoy it.
