Greatest Statists is more like it, what with their absurd belief in the ability of government organization and regimentation to make everything better. That and for spawning the Boomers, and raising them to be the civilization-destroyers they are.
+1, and I'm a boomer myself.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

I have never understood the reverence for the generation that was the biggest hijacker of future prosperity since Genghis Khan crossed the Ural mountains, and biggest collective instigators of the largest Ponzi schemes ever foisted upon humanity in recorded history.

Yeah, they fought WWII. BFD. My father graduated h.s. Class of '29, after being raised in Chicago during the height of Al Capone.
After 12 years of the crappiest economy evah (this side of the Black Plague), I rather imagine that it wasn't that hard to find 10-15 million guys happy to have 3 hots and a cot, and were more than willing to go kill someone.

And then, just for fun, saddle the next 2 generations with the bill for their benefits which I didn't get and never will: no GI Bill college paid for me, nor a home loan, and no Soc. Sec. money left when I retire. Just the bills for it all. Yeah, thanks for nothing, you freeloading spendthrifts. It's been a pleasure working two jobs to keep you in an RV during your golden years, and paying for all of your medical care, hoping that some day, just before I drop dead, I'll get a day off, and be able to leisurely sup on the cat food I'll be spooning down for the last weeks before I keel over, since I'll probably have to keep working into my 80s just to pay your bills.

If we'd let the Germans and Japanese have Europe and Asia, and simply shot most of that generation of Americans ourselves, we wouldn't be any worse off now than we are. Oh, and we'd have a helluva lot more of the Constitution still operational.

After the new deal, WWII, Manhattan Project, and space race most Americans became convinced that we could solve any problem by throwing money and experts at it. Turns out you can't.

We'd also have a lot fewer Boomers, and that can't hurt.

Only when I look at the "withholding" section on my paychecks.

I don't disagree with anything here. I think I just blew a fusible link on my outrage circuit.

Multiply that by 300M, and reflect again on why we should all be stocking up on canned goods and ammunition on a plot of arable land far from the urban pestholes, towards the Day the EBT Cards Fail.
What can't continue indefinitely, won't.

I wonder how many people, especially LEOs, took note of the recent little EBT fiasco, and thought about the result of multiplying it by 10,000....... :geek:

I read on some blog somewhere that the USDA had sent notices to some states (this was UT) that there would be lots of EBT denials in November. Anyone else see that or hear anything elsewhere?
