Joe Cocker, aged 70, has died of lung cancer:

Cocker had lived in Crawford, Colorado, for many years. He was mayor there at one time, IIRC. His Mad Dog Ranch has been up for sale for a while--it's an English estate dropped into the Rockies.

RIP!!! My wife can't stand his voice, but likes his lyrics. YMMV!!!

I liked his stuff, but I'm also a Dylan fan, which may remove my voting qualifications.

And I really enjoy John Prine's stuff, which might be a further disqualification.
