chris your prices in AZ are about a $1 higher than they are here in NC.

i regularly pay $2 a pint for draft beer and $3 for a mixed drink.

you want to see high drink prices, go to South Beach. I laughed in a bartenders face when he told me that his happy hour deal was $15 buckets of 4 beers.

thats not all that bad for NY...

Bar i used to go to in Orlando had Thursday night specials. $4 liters of any draft. 3 Liters of Guinness is a whole lot of beer let me tell ya.

the topless karaoke was nice too.

No alcohol taxes here in Spain - I'm sure the EU has plans to fix that though, bunch of evil neo-puritan socialist scum that they are.

A bottle of generic vodka is $6, imported tequila and JD are $18-20 at mercado retail prices.

Spirit measures in bars take some getting used to. They just pour it and you are meant to tell them when to stop, that caught me out at first. A vodka and coke in a bar is about $5 for what would be a US triple or quadruple shot.

The owners other restaurant, Adobe Blues, lists Budweiser as an "Alledged beer".

Considering the retail price of some of these, it's actually a fairly decent price - Optimator, for example, was over $9 a six pack the last time I checked.

And those prices are dramatically higher than what they were 4 years ago - I remember buying liter glasses of Optimator there for $8.

Does anyone know of a descent domestic beer that's relatively inexpensive and not brewed by an equestrian urologist?

I prefer the OP (other people's) brand.

I drink a fair bit of Blue Moon, I like it better than most I've had. And it's not any worse than Budweiser or Bud Select, pricewise.
