A Genuine WTF Moment

Today, after church, we went over to my Mom's for Sunday dinner (for non-Southerners, dinner is the mid-day meal. Supper is what you have in the evening) and afterwards The Boss wanted to find some new shoes to go with her new outfit for the Christmas choir performance. Once we had finished that task, we had some time to kill before choir practice, so we decided to take the back way home. Little longer, but a very scenic drive.
Nothing unusual at all. Until we came around a curve in the road, and saw this:
camel (800x598).jpg
Yes, that is a camel. A one-hump, dromedary camel. In a pasture with some horses and longhorn cattle. In NORTH ALABAMA!!!!!
And, yes, my first reaction was "WTF?"
Why, in the name of (insert deity name here) would anyone have a camel here?

I guess that is a possibility, but ONE CAMEL? Not gonna do much breeding.

Florida. 7 citrus trees. That is all.
I happen to know that to qualify as farmland in PA, one must have a minimum of 10 acres, and generate an annual agricultural income of over 2 thousand dollars.
Besides the tax break, this also gives one the opportunity to acquire a
"red tag"
