A Little Help, Please

I'm trying to figure out how to post an avatar. Chris said to look in my User Control Panel, but darn if I see it there. The FAQ says I have to contact an admin to enable an avatar, which is why I wrote Chris in the first place. What am I missing??? Thanks!
