Went to a local "health food store"

they had isles for.

- Homeopathy
- Homeopathic samples
- Alternative "Natural" medicine
- Reverse Osmosis Water

I kid you not, having a section dedicated to Homeopathy makes me question EVERYTHING in the store.

I might bring up some pictures if I can get away with taking some.

I always avoid such places. Everybody who shops there is going to die.

Really not that strange, it's usually customer demand. A lot of people that are into health food are also into "alternative medicine", and they regularly ask for stuff like that.

I also wouldn't be surprised if you'll also find scent therapy stuff in there, as well as protein drinks and other supplements bodybuilders use. I know one health food store that sold ergonomic shoes as well as those ice grips for shoes. And they even catered to fishermen that wanted "ecologically grown bait". If the regular customers come in and regularly ask for a product, it's pretty much a no brainer for the owner to stock it.
From what I understand, two of the best sellers in the health store I knew was the nutritional supplements for bodybuilders, and some Viagra alternative (apparently a big hit among the senior citizens in town)

I am a huge fan of homeopathy - whoever realised that he could charge exorbitant sums of money for pills and drops that don't contain a single molecule of any active ingedient whatsoever and call it "medicine" was a marketing genius. Wasn't that a German?

What does enrage me is the airheads who give homeopathic "medicine" to their kids and pets. I don't care if adults decide they prefer the placebo effect to buying real pharmaceuticals, but inflicting their religion on children and dumb animals who need real medicine is beyond the pale.

Me, too, but only if I can market something in the homeopathic line myself.
Otherwise, I'm all for tests, trials, and regulations.

Same here, very much so. And the principle generalizes- do whatever you want to yourself, kill yourself, poison yourself, die of some trivial condition that's easily prevented or cured because you religion says so, whatever. You're a big boy, you can make your own decisions and the rest of us are free to laugh at your confused-looking corpse.

But subject your stupidity on an innocent who's incapable of making grownup decisions on their own (children and animals, exactly), whose only fault is to depend on you and trust you... and you're something far worse than a dead laughingstock.
