Anyone else looking forward to Left 4 Dead?

Post by Jericho941 »

It's a survival horror co-op shooter. I was feeling kinda iffy about it, but they released the intro sequence on Steam on Halloween that looked really cool:

The game itself doesn't come out until November 18. But basically, the game features a story campaign where you and three other survivors (played by other players online, hence co-op) try to escape a city full of zombies. In the absence of human players, an AI takes over for the other survivors, IIRC. Anyway the technical stuff is all here.

I'll have to wait until next year, though. :(

Having a Mac and PS3 means no Left 4 Dead for me.

I would have to buy a new PC to run something like that, but it does look good. Very good. I'm a sucker for anything zombie :D

looks pretty freaky. I'd do it, but then my family would starve.
If you are unwilling to give another man freedom in his life, do not expect to have it in your own.
It surely beats trying to figure out what the metrosexuals want ( a good hard kick in the nuts in my opinion, but that won't sell ice cream :D )- Highspeed

I thought you were talking about the Wake Island book. Very moving account.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

I played it the other day. My mate has a whole network of X-Boxes each with their own screen in a different room.
I enjoyed it, although my experience of co-op games is almost zero.

There are four characters available - The old but badassed SF Vietnam Vet, the scumbag Biker, the Feisty Chick and the white collar Black dude. So far so good.
I was voted as the Biker and because there were 3 of us the black dude, Louis, was controlled by the AI. Probably some racism going on there :D

Louis turned out to be a sterling member of the team however and didn't do what AI characters normally do - getting in your way and fucking stuff up. He heals you with med packs, kicks ass and takes names. Look after Louis, he's a good guy :D
