When trying to impress a lady, there are better ways of doing it than by helping to move her baby grand piano. Ow.

Oh you impressed her alright - she now knows who to call for [strike]free labor[/strike] "favors".

In my defense, it was an "all-hands" call for getting the place set up for some house concerts next weekend, so I wasn't the only schmuck involved with the moving of a quarter ton of cast iron wrapped in several hundred pounds of lacquered wood. Three guys, a hydraulic engine jack, 50 meters of mystery vintage climbing rope, and a tow chain got the job done without damaging anything, or severely damaging anyone. Had I thought of it at the time, I'd have taken a pic & posted it to "There, I Fixed It"...
