gun show food

Growing up I used to love going to local gun shows. Gun wise they were always very disappointing(little selection, lots of greed, same old same old, etc) but the free samples and seasoning were always great. You could find all kinds of seasoning mixes, rubs, marinades, sauces, etc. They were all very outdoorys and made by little shops. The kind of stuff you wont find at Walmart and take some serious google-foo.

Unfortunately I moved away and I cant seem to find this kind of stuff anymore. I cant remember names, only the people I bought from. Anyone manage to find this kind of stuff online?

You mean like this?

Tank's Bloody Mary Mix. Pretty good in its intended use, made a good marinade for chicken, too!
Locally in California was another sauce maker, with a Hawai'ian name, IIRC, and someone who made cobbler mixes ("easier than pie").
I haven't been to a gun show in five years on account of finances.

I think I actually have paper on more products, naming names, but since everything is in storage I can't lay hands on the literature to give you names.

Check out websites like www.allrecipes.com, www.foodnetwork.com, www.food.com, and on and on.... there are some pretty good recipes for just about anything out there.

You may not find the exact thing you ate at gunshows, but you'll be able to find something close. Part of the fun is experimenting! Just keep some frozen pizza on hand if you really botch a recipe.
