Jupiter And Venus Together

Perhaps you've noticed Jupiter and Venus together in the western sky after sunset. The moon made a picturesque trio with them a week or so ago, then moved on to the east; Mercury also popped up below them, close to the horizon, then dropped away into the sunset. The planets, meanwhile, have continued to move closer together. They're at their closest (just three degrees apart) on Tuesday the 13th, check them out. Beauty!
Oh, if you look to the east after viewing the pairing, you'll spy a bright reddish object above the horizon, in Leo. That's Mars, just past opposition, and its closest for the next couple of years.

The lack of light pollution here in Djibouti has made watching the planets a pleasure. I have been tracking them each night that I have the opportunity.

That reminds me of a classic...
Think of a number between 1 and 9.
Subtract 5 from the number.
Multiply the difference by 3.
Square the product (multiply the product by itself).
Add the digits of the new number.
If the sum isn't a 1-digit number, add the digits of the new number together. Keep adding the digits of each new sum until you get a 1-digit number.
If the new 1-digit number is less than 5, add 5 to it. If it's greater than 5, subtract 4 from it.
Multiply the difference by 2.
Subtract 6 from the result.
Think of the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to this new number. (A=1, B=2, etc.)
Think of a country that begins with that letter.
Think of an animal that begins with the second letter of the country's name.
Think of the animal's color.

Oilcrash,
you should get a black jackdaw from Djibouti. Nearly everyone else will get a grey elephant from Denmark
