Wondering how useful the "Z summing" function in their 4 axis units actually is, or if it would be better or simpler to just add a separate quill DRO later.

The problem for NPR, is, he keeps asking about stuff I really don't touch too much. Most of the mills I run have computers, tool changers, and hopefully touch probes( I used to think that they were biggest waste of money if you weren't running castings or extrusions( because they vary).
Now? I dread touching one of the few Hurcos at work without it(especially the lone 84 without it), as I means breaking out the Haimer and gauge block.
