Two guys cleaning a sewer. One wearing a safety tether, the other wasn't. Both fell in. The tethered guy was pulled right back out, while the other guy took a mile plus, hour plus long ride through Omaha's sewer system before he was located and rescued.

Use your safety gear.

You would think that at some point everyone would have to agree that nobody alive today made this fucked up world, but we do all have to live in it. But I don't really see that happening within my lifetime.

Just received my new Bosch 12v GRO "Not A Dremel" rotary tool. Since Bosch apparently owns Dremel, they don't sell it in the US, which meant I had to buy one from an epay seller out of Korea. Therefore no warranty (which sucks a little), but probably worth it. This lets me eliminate the Dremel's unique batteries and chargers, while the Bosch uses batteries I already have, which was the primary objective.

Second, put side by side, the Bosch is clearly a far more solidly built tool than the Dremel, which is hobby grade at best. My brother and I each wore out a Dremel of the same model that the Bosch is replacing, which is why I have 4 batteries and 2 chargers for it (not 3 because I even managed to kill one of the chargers). It's stupid that you have to jump through hoops and go without a warranty to buy one in the US.

Honestly? The best handheld die grinder type tool I've come across is the Foredom, which is basically an industrial dentist drill. Downside is they're pricey, which is why I don't own one... Yet.

Foredoms are nice, but realistically all I need is a Dremel that doesn't suck, and I think this is it. I made this yesterday to hang it along with the rest of my Bosch stuff:
