Yep, the avocados I pulled where all minimum 12" a foot above ground. We used a narrow backhoe bucket or gripper claw to work around the stump base and take out major roots a couple feet out from the stump. Then pulled/tipped the stump out with a backhoe bucket. 30 stumps in half a day.
You've got a good unit there already for backfilling /grading the holes
