I will admit i never thought i would be afraid of a white jeep with a NASA logo on it until one came racing across the dunes toward me.
A number of other NASA police on launch day are actually Air Force PJs and other members of AFSOC... so as not to scare the white people.

I grew up less than 40 miles from KSC and have been on base property more than any non civilian ive ever met as i was friends with a nature photographer that used to drag me out with him to take pictures of the gators and turtles.
Plus ive been known to talk ex-girlfriends into going to the nude beach on the north side of KSC
