Oooooo, there's a lot of folks who'd like them to "practice" in Iran, say in the ayatollah's direction.

And her cousin no doubt moved in under the flight path of the local AFB, and bitches about the jet noise there too, right?
Doubtless I've related the story of the producer hereabouts who was dismayed to learn she got a great price on renting a non-sound soundstage, right under the incoming arrivals for the local airshow, whereupon she opined "Couldn't they bring the planes in on trucks?" because flying in B-1s, B-52s, and such was interfering with her P.O.S. cinematic schlock.
One wonders how such people muster enough medulla oblongata to remember to suck oxygen a few times a minute without exceeding their available memory core.

There's also the classic :
1.Buy property next to an existing gun club/firing range
2. Attempt to shut down the club/range
Or the mopes who move into farm country, following the same path because of dust/odors
No punishment for such blatant venality/stupidity should be considered too severe.

Go explain it to her.

In San Angelo TX of all places back in the 80s, trailer park owner was trying to get shooting range that had been in operation since the 40's shut down.Old Grafton wrote:There's also the classic :

She claimed rounds from the range were impacting in her park. As proof she showed a handful of .22LR casings she found near her trailer to the TV twit that was interviewing her.

...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

And???
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Actually, if the condition you're trying to mitigate existed before you arrived at the location in question, you and your heirs and assigns should be forbidden by law from suing for that reason or any related claim in perpetuity, and a $100K nuisance fee assessed per day for each such suit from filing to dismissal, split equally between the court and the defendant(s), if necessary by placing a lien on the plaintiff's property.Old Grafton wrote:There's also the classic :

Call it the "STFU, NIMBY" Rule.
The second offense should result in public dunking in a pool of flaming gasoline, and forfeiture of all property and estates to the defendant.
The third offense should see your descendants sold into slavery to the defendants, with execution of sentence suspended solely in deference to the 13th Amendment, and set free instead after a token flogging and ten years at hard labor. Along with filing counsel.

A quick Google search of Eagle Flats Impact Area shows it to be on the north end of Fort Richardson, AK, where the Eagle River meets whatever body of salt water that is. In short, it's way-the-hell away from everything (as impact areas should be).
The search yielded an interesting .pdf file about an environmental impact study, researching the environmental impact of high explosives on the hearing of beluga whales that might be in the bay. In short, the engineers, seismologists, and assorted scientists said, basically, "There isn't anyone up there, and we're not going to hurt the whales."
It reminds me of a study we did at Fort Polk, concerning the pileated woodpecker, an endangered species. We found nesting areas in Peason Ridge Impact Area. We had to do noise studies to make sure we weren't disturbing the birds. As a result, three federal game wardens were hired to , in part, make sure we weren't screwing with the woodpeckers. They were assigned to the Provost Marshal, and worked for me. If we found nesting sites disturbed, I had to assign MPI investigators to identify the offending unit.
Those game wardens, of course, were affectionately referred to as "pecker-checkers". They didn't see the humor in that appellation.
Ooops, my mistake. It was the Red Cockaded Woodpecker. Almost 25 years will do that to you.
