Snow plow recommendations?

I have never used one. Until recently a Florida resident; but I have been told these are the shit. And its primary job is a really good mower.

So I ended up buying one of these: https://www.thehomeplow.com/ with the electric lift and the wireless remote last year.

It was a pain to assemble. Not too hard to wire. The remote that came with it was broken but they sent me a new one. I have it mounted on a beater 2009 GMC Sierra that seems well suited for it and I bought just for that and other side jobs around the place, I do not really drive it around or anything (especially with the plow, it is a pig with that.)

It works well for me so far although it is the only snow plow I have used so take that with a grain of salt. This is the second winter I have had it and it is getting a workout this year.

Who wouldn't want a $50k+ specialty vehicle with a 8 thousand dollar attachment?

Btw, I had never heard of the toolcat until I'd seen the one at work, and it made me a believer. I see them listed semi regularly on Craigslist. You can discern if it has the high flow kit installed if it has "high flow hydraulics" written in white letters on the ram on the front end loader

For those who don't have sixty grand laying around, a used bobcat with a craigslist western plow mounted on it makes an excellent snow handling machine - it's what my brother used for his landscaping business twenty+ years ago.

I will say that hands down the best snowblower on the market is the track drive Honda's. You can usually pick up a nice clean 928 or even 1132 in the spring on Craigslist for 1500 or so, especially if it's been a mild winter.
