They are GREAT pets! I had them for over ten years. I always made sure to have 2 at a time. Not only so they wouldn't get lonely, but so that I could tell people I had a "pair of keets."

We had 'keets for a long time. Messy little bastards but a lot of fun. Our first, Joe, used to talk to us all the time, whistled for the dogs and called the cat. The dogs learned to ignore him but the cat fell for it fairly often (or might have been audio-ranging him ).

Bindi has this thing where she hangs on the door to her cage, bobbing side to side and chirping as if she's saying, "I cut choo, mang!" or "Oi! You fink you're 'ard enuf, mate?"

Actually thats their mating dance, so more like, "hey baybe lets you and me"

Yeah, I could get any of the little rascals flaming fighting mad by bobbing a fingertip in the same fashion up-down-left-right. They'd fluff their crests up and their pupils would shrink to pinpoints and it would be ON! "CHCK!-CHCK!-CHCK!-CHCK!-CHCK!-CHCK!!!!!" (freely translated "I will kick your AAASSS!!!")
