It would be wonderful if a wealthy Texan bought them and moved them out of california... they use California laws as an excuse for so much then are inconsistent applying them.
Just had a bayonet auction canceled; I mirrored another completed auction, used no naughty words, and it was killed before it went live. There are several other current and many more completed auctions for the exact same bayonet, with similar wording but mine got singled out.
Probably won't get as much going through another site or trying to sell locally.
But the capper: I also put up a couple of collector knives I bought 10 years ago (nothing special; Winchester fixed blades in tins). They've been getting $30 - $55 on Ebay and I paid $10 each for them in 2003. When putting together the auction you can enter country of origin; the knives are made in Taiwan, the tins in commie China.
The selection for Taiwan says "Taiwan, province of China"...... seriously, Ebay? You're that deep in the pockets?
There were a couple of very unhappy threads in the forums there but, as expected, no response from Ebay.
I didn't fill in their box; instead I put proper country of manufacture (Taiwan, Republic of China) in the main description.

haven't checked Armslist yet. Too many on Gunbroker going cheaper than its worth my time to sell; on ebay they're going for 50% higher or more.

Nah, screw it. I'd bet they keep a closer eye on an account once it has a rejection, at least for a while. And if I try to fight it I might just screw the people who are managing to sell theirs. Its not a lot of money in any case.Flintlock Tom wrote:Try rewording the post and re-post?
I think I will see about getting a one-shot gun show table. Won't get as much for the bayonets probably but I won't have to deal with shipping or post sale issues either. I think I've built up enough excess stuff to fill one table (and my friend with the 7.62x51 ammo (sold a few months ago) may have some other items he wants to sell too so maybe we split a table).
But if I do that I have to consider selling off some ammo too (where I don't have matching firearms); it'd be the perfect opportunity to declutter since I almost certainly won't be getting compatible arms.
