I just glanced in the Wiki and didn't see anything regarding books, recommended books, suggested reading, etc., etc.

Having something like SeekHer's lists (above) would probably be VERY useful for someone wanting to read about snipers and sniping in general, and of course, there are some in there which are very specific to certain people. There could also be other categories regarding intelligence gathering, recommended books on patrolling in a variety of conditions, recommended books regarding flying, including combat flying, and even flying and fighting in Apaches, etc.

This way, they can be recommended and screened by people who have experience in such things, making the information inside much more valuable than someone else just writing a book with no personal experience to back it up.

Nope - I didn't look specifically for sniper books, but it's good to know at least that category is in there. Thanks!

That being said, a prioritization list would be useful. I'd start with Plaster's The Ultimate Sniper.

I didn't include these two titles in the US Civil War Section:

Shock Troops of the South by Fred Ray

The Confederate Whitworth Sharpshooters by John A. Morrow

Both dealing with the Confederate sharpshooter companies and regiments similar to the Union's Berdan 1st US Sharpshooters Regiment...I've only read the excerpts from the volumes but they both got very good reviews in the likes of The Bivouac Banner and American Civil War Discussion Forum, both excellent sites.

I'd get them but for the ridiculous shipping rates to Canada.
